Mood: wheres the wind?
17th May 2003
Windsurfing: Brogborough
Wind Direction: Sw
Wind Stength: 10 - 20 mph
Surf / Sea State: flat
Air Temperature: 14 c
Sea Temperature: bit chilly
Weather: cloudy
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Wind was bit up and down today but seamed to average out about 17 with gusts to 25 um'ed and arr'd 7m or 8.5 decided on the 8.5 as I didn't fancy any marginal stuff.
Had some fabulous runs today realy nicely powered up just touching over powered at times. Mangaged quite a few dry gybes today and then there was some that I went into at scary fast speeds (for me anyway) and was real crash and burn stuff without the flames.
As the afternoon when on the gusts seemed to get stronger got a bit hairy at times and was really having to head up wind to stay incontrol which brought my old problem of spinning out, can't beat spinning out for a bit of fun. Some of the other people on the water were out on 6.5 and 7's now really started to get over powered at time had to bail out at on one run the wind just got under the board and I felt there was a big off in the making so I bottled it unhooked and pulled the sail down over myhead not very pretty but better than a trip round the front!
One back on dry land and in the club house found out the wind had been gusting 30mph so I think I done well to hold onto 8.5 sail
Four stars was great to be just able to to just hookin and go with no pumping n stuff
